Charles R. Fogg
Farmer
April 4, l928 – March 11, 2006
Mr. Fogg had been a vegetable farmer in Mannington for over 60 years. He was commended by the Asparagus Council for designing and building a machine to plant asparagus roots and also assisted in designing and modifying the prototype of the first feasible mechanical harvester for asparagus.
Charlie loved spending happy times with his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed solving mechanical challenges and was truly a home grown “engineer.”
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, the former Betty R. Roeske; his two children Charles R. Fogg III of Lindenwold and James E. Fogg of Mannington; and three grandchildren, Kristen J. Fogg, Jacqueline M. Fogg and James C. Fogg.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 11AM from H.T. LAYTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, NJ.
Family and friends may call from 9AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lawnside Cemetery, Pilesgrove.
