One person came into my life
Changing it forever
Slowly, methodically, controlling …

Another person came into my life
Changing it forever.
He entered quickly, half- hazard,
Unknowingly and gleefully …

Yet another person could not
Stay out of our lives changing it forever.
Selfishly, spitefully, carefully and thoughtlessly

Alas, a complete family
We shall never be.
