A Dream That Will Surely Come True by Anneliese Garrison, RN
© written 11/81

Last night I dreamed a dream
that I know will surely come true.
For I saw the sky of Heaven open
and a Bright Light come shinning through.

As I stood thinking aloud,
I saw the Lamb of God
ascending from a cloud.
Suddenly, I began to drift
but I was not alone.
For there were thousands of others too,
who were going home.

Finally we were there,
at that bright Golden Castle.
It was so peaceful, so calm,
There wasn't any hastle.

As I walked the streets
made of purest gold.
I found that Heaven was far better
than I had ever been told.

And as I approached His Great White Throne,
I fell to my knees.
For he opened His Book of Life,
and began to speak to me.

And as He spoke,
behold I awoke
and found it was only a dream,
that was finished and through.

But I shall never forget
as long as I live
that it is a dream that will one day

Surely come true.
